Ocean County Recovery Programs

HOPE Sheds Light Recovery Center

The HOPE Sheds Light Recovery Centers serve as local hubs in Monmouth and Ocean counties for recovery support services offering a monthly calendar of workshops, support groups, and wellness activities designed for the whole family.

Finding HOPE: All Recovery Family Support Meeting

This peer-led support group meeting is open to all individuals and families impacted by substance use disorder. The discussion is facilitated by individuals and family members who have shared lived experiences and a strong recovery base. The group provides opportunities for connections and to draw strength and hope from each other.

We will also introduce topics focused on cultivating a recovery capital within the whole family, with group sharing and discussion encouraged.

Meets:

  • Every Tuesday From 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM 253 Chestnut Street, Toms River
  • 2nd and 4th Wednesday 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (210 E. Main St. Tuckerton, N.J 08087)

Healing Hearts – A Grief And Bereavement Support Group

A grief and bereavement support group for anyone that lost someone to substance use disorder. This is a safe, confidential place to go to know you are not alone and that support is available.

Housing Support

Hope Sheds Light offers financial and recovery support for people seeking placement into a Sober Living facility in Ocean and Monmouth Counties, New Jersey. Sober living facilities can provide a safe, structured, healthy living environment for men and women while our certified recovery coaches provide guidance and direction on the journey to recovery. Together with the participant, our coaches help develop and implement a recovery plan, ensure a strong support system is in place as well as make sure each person is using all the recovery tools available to best reach their goals.

Along with up to 6 weeks of financial assistance, each participant will receive a minimum of 2 hours of face to face recovery coaching.
